PE Programs

The Swim Academy offers a variety of Physical and Water Safety Education to partners throughout Broward County. Learn how we are helping tomorrow’s leaders become healthier, smarter and water safer!

As part of the overall Sagemont School PE curriculum, The Swim Academy provides swim lessons through the Sagemont School Swim Program. This program is taught once a week, for a semester.

The Swim Program is run like any other class at The Sagemont School. Dress code, participation, and attendance all factor into your child’s final performance review.

Your child is expected to bring approved swimwear to class and be ready to participate! Approved swimwear (as best possible) is a solid color one piece suit for the girls and solid color board shorts for the boys.

On the first day of swim class the swim coaches do an evaluation with each swimmer. Students should come prepared and dressed accordingly to every class with approved swimwear, towel, and sunscreen.

Approved swimwear is a solid color one piece suit for the girls and solid color board shorts for the boys. Your Swim Coaches and Aquatic Teachers are excited to continue educating students in water safety and stroke progression!

We also offer different lesson types during your child’s already scheduled PE swim time. This allows your child to follow the same schedule as his/her classmates but get the individualized attention that they may need in one of our private, semi private or small group clusters.
