The Swim Academy has been providing swim lessons to the South Florida community for over 20 years. To date, more than 25,000 children have successfully learned to swim through programs designed to support students and build their confidence, ensuring children enjoy a lifelong love and respect of the water.
Director and H2O Coach Marcella Miciano answers some commonly asked questions about The Swim Academy.
What is The Swim Academy?
Our swim programs provide a positive learning experience, focusing on water safety education and lifesaving skills in a dynamic, fun-filled, family-friendly environment. Our expertise and experience are combined with positive reinforcement to achieve successful results. With our lessons, swimmers will thrive and be confident in their skills.
What services do you provide?
The Swim Academy offers year-round swim lessons from certified, experienced instructors. We specialize in teaching learn to swim programs that create safer, smarter and happier swimmers. We offer a free 30-minute swim evaluation to ensure children are placed in the program that best enables their swim skills and abilities. Our programs include private or group lessons. One of our premier classes is our Parent & Me class, designed to create a bonding experience for both the parent and the child. The Swim Academy provides free swim classes for babies (under six months). We also offer a Swim Club for young swimmers interested in preparing for a competitive swim team.

What distinguishes The Swim Academy from other swim programs?
Our learn to swim methods have been recognized nationally for their success in water survival skills. In addition, we offer a five-star level of service. We truly care about the success and happiness of our students and families. Our programs and times are flexible to fit the busiest parents’ needs.
Please describe your facilities.
In Weston, we are located at the Sagemont Aquatics Center, and in Pembroke Pines on the campuses of the Chesterbrook/Paladin Academy. Our heated pools allow for year-round participation in our programs.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Water safety is our number one priority. We provide presentations for our local community. One of our water safety educators can come to your location to share information in a fun-filled learning experience.
